Future Publishing will launch Pokemon: The Official Magazine in the UK beginning March 20. The print publication will include coverage for Pokemon games, movies, tournaments, trading cards, and TV shows. Thirteen issues will be rolled out by Future per year, and the magazine will feature a cover price of £3.99.
It's no secret that Pokemon has a massive fan base. You have to wonder, though, is there really enough content in the series to justify 13 issues a year? You also have to take into account the fact that Future recently ceased publication of Nintendo Power, Xbox World, PSM3, and PlayStation: The Official Magazine.
Here's hoping Pokemon: The Official Magazine has a nice run. Seriously, the idea of a print magazine based entirely around Nintendo's ridiculously charming RPG franchise is pretty rad.
