Pokemon the primary focus of tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct

We don't know exactly what it is, but Nintendo has some big Pokémon news to share. After the official Pokémon twitter teased some big news this week, Nintendo has announced that the next episode of its Nintendo Direct webcasts will focus on the popular Pokémon franchise.

Many are speculating it will be related to Pokémon Black & White 2, which a recent TV advertisement promised more details and "latest information" regarding the franchise will be shared on January 8 — the day Nintendo Direct airs. Pokémon Black & White 2 launched in October on DS; even though it's rather soon, maybe Nintendo is thinking of bringing it over to the 3DS?

We won't have to wait long. The Pokémon Direct is set to air on January 8, 2013 at 12 noon CET. You can view it here.
