Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon announced for 3DS

Nintendo took to their Pokemon Direct to make a number of announcements, and none of them were the rumored 'Pokemon Stars' game.

There have been countless rumors on a Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch, titled Pokemon Stars. Pokemon producer Junichi Masuda even hinted at it and a new rumor just released this week on the game, but today we got to see the announcement of Pokken Tournament hitting the Switch, Pokemon Gold and Silver hitting the 3DS Virtual Console, and Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon will offer an alternate story taking place in the world of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon and will feature Pokemon that didn't appear in the original versions. The game will also come equipped with "new features" which were not detailed.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon will release for the 3DS on November 17th.
