Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the latest upcoming addition to the Pokemon franchise is becoming the definitive edition of Pokemon Sun and Moon. If that wasn't made clear by the titles alone, then maybe the additional content will. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon seem to add so much this time around that they're almost new games. Not quite a sequel, but more like a Pokemon Sun/Moon 1.75 (as opposed to 2.)
One such addition we're getting is Team Rainbow Rocket. It's a mash-up of bad guy bosses from previous Pokemon titles. The leader is none other than the OG gangster himself: Giovanni from Pokemon Red and Blue. Along with him are the likes of Ghetsis of Team Plasma and Lysandre of Team Flare. Their motives for such a team-up are unknown, other than it being a really cool call-back.
Trainers can also travel through things called Ultra Wormholes and encounter past Legendaries such as Mewtwo, Ho-Oh and Lugia. The Legendaries will differ between the two versions of the games. Ultra Beasts will also make an appearance.
Another feature includes The Battle Agency, where trainers can rent powerful Pokemon to battle and earn special items and more. They can also… don super cool agent sunglasses? Alright, Game Freak, I'm on board.
