A little over a week ago, EA announced that the Star Wars Battlefront beta will be open to everyone, and not a select few. While this news certainly made a lot of people happy, in the grand scheme of things, it makes sense. Battlefront is launching on November 17th, so having a full scale stress test just a month before seems like a really good idea. After all, you don't want to botch a launch like Star Wars.
Today, EA revealed the dates when players will be able to participate in the beta. Starting on October 8th, and running until October 12th, the beta will give a small taste of both the Rebel and Imperial life that players will get to fully experience once the game launches the following month.
Along with the beta, players will also be able to play the Star Wars Battlefront Companion game, Base Command, which will earn them in-game Credits for various unlockables.
