Popular vote says Greninja is the number one Pokemon

If you were to name one Pokemon off the top of your head, there's a huge chance that the Pokemon would be Pikachu. The little electric rodent was the face of the series (along side Ash, his human counterpart), but apparently Pikachu isn't that cool anymore.

Neither is Charizard, at least Mew is still somewhat cool, but Simisear isn't cool at all. According to a general election (via Kotaku), 562,386 voters have decided that Pikachu isn't the number one Pokemon anymore – Greninja is.

Out of all 720 Pokemon the top 10 Pokemon shrugged off one of the original starter pokemon entirely. It's a weird list…

1. Greninja
2. Arceus
3. Mew
4. Pikachu
5. Sylveon

Of course, this list was limited to Japan… A worldwide vote could yield different results. Also, Ghastly wasn't on that list, I'm offended.
