Porsche Expansion Pack possibly headed to Forza Horizon 2

What happened to that pesky EA/Porsche exclusivity?

Reports are suggesting that Forza Horizon 2 will be recieving a Porsche Expansion Pack soon. The report is founded on an apparent mistake in the YouTube coding for the Duracell Car Pack trailer that was uploaded to the Xbox YouTube channel.

The mishap is only displayed when someone attempts to pull up the Duracell video on a device using Twitter. The Duracell video is displayed through a Tweet, the the video description is not for the Duracell Car Pack, it's for the Porsche Expansion pack.

Apparently, the Porsche Expansion Pack will be adding 500 Gamerscore points to the Xbox One exclusive game, new events and "some" Porsches.

In order for Microsoft and Turn 10 to add Porsches to their game, they would have to strike up a deal with Electronic Arts to do so. There is a possibility that the exclusive deal between EA and Porsche expired, allowing Microsoft and Turn 10 the ability to feature a Porsche Expansion Pack.

In the past I have long lamented over the exclusivity of Porches in racing games — the car maker has an exclusive deal with EA, thus only allowing EA games to have Porsches. Typically, Ruf manufactured vehicles are found in racing games that don't belong to EA. The Ruf looks like a Porsche, but is essentially only a tuner car.

The date of release for the Porsche Expansion Pack has not been revealed.
