Portal 2 leads the charge on 5 new backwards compatible games for Xbox One

Big news Xbox One fans! Major Nelson has put out a tweet regarding Backwards Compatibility that is going to be music to your ears. Left4Dead and Portal 2 headline a new group of five games that are available starting today on Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility. The other three games are Babel Rising, Flashback and Brain Challenge. Here is the tweet.

Backwards compatibility has been a bit slow to encompass some of the bigger titles in the Xbox 360 library. However, recently games like XCOM: Enemy Within, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed were made available, so progress has been at least steady. That said, there are still some big games that have remained at the top of the vote, like Red Dead: Redemption and Skyrim (probably not happening) that fans have fervently asked for.
