Possible sequel to The World Ends with You in development

A new sub-domain at Square Enix hints at a possible sequel to The World Ends with You, released in 2008 for Nintendo DS.

The URL contains the phrase "Subaseka," a likely nod to the game as it's called in Japan (Subarashiki Kono Sekai). The webpage features character designs from Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi, the artists who worked on the original.

Nomura has previously teased that a sequel is at least under consideration. Characters from the game appeared in cameos in the recent Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

A countdown on the website is ticking down from six days.
