Cartoon Network’s™ Loveable
Kindergarten Super Heroes Take On Archrival Mojo Jojo™ And The Evil Villains Of
Townsville In This Action-Packed Cartoon Fighting Game

San Jose, Calif. (November 14, 2001)
– BAM! Entertainment today announced that it is shipping The Powerpuff
Girls:Chemical X-Traction for the PlayStation Game Console and the Nintendo 64.
The game will be available for the PlayStation this week, and the Nintendo 64
version will be available starting the week of November 19th. The Powerpuff
Girls: Chemical X-Traction is a cartoon fighting game where kids are challenged
to join Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup as they battle Mojo Jojo and other
notorious Townsville villains in an effort to stop Mojo’s reign of terror in
Townsville. The games will be available at an estimated retail price of $29.95
for the PlayStation and $39.95 for the Nintendo 64.

The Powerpuff Girls come to life in
this cartoon fighting game for the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 consoles. As the
game begins, The Powerpuff Girls are in their kitchen having just finished
baking a great big pie. They rest the pie on the windowsill so it can cool off,
but when Blossom and Buttercup leave, Bubbles decides that the pie needs
something extra-special-a dose of Chemical X. She goes down to the lab, gets the
X, and pours a healthy dose into the pie before leaving it to cool. Little does
she know that Mojo Jojo is lurking outside the window just waiting for such an
opportunity. Mojo Jojo quickly swipes the super pie and runs off with it. Mojo
Jojo then calls together the villains of Townsville and gives them all pieces of
the pie filled with Chemical X so that they can finally be super powered and
beat those pesky Powerpuff Girls.

Meanwhile at home, the girls
discover their pie has been snatched and they immediately know only one villain
would do such a fiendish thing-Mojo Jojo. Blossom and Buttercup think this is a
pretty foolish thing to steal until Bubbles tells them about the Chemical X she
added to the mix. The girls must hunt down the villains, going from location to
location all over Townsville, beating up the bad guys and knocking the Chemical
X out of them. Using their special powers, the girls bring peace back to
Townsville.

Players can choose to play in either
the Story Mode or the Simulator Mode. In the Story Mode, players must battle
their way through all the arena’s fighting all the villains with all three Girls
to finish the game. In the Simulator Mode, the player can jump right in and
choose from several characters and arenas, or they can unlock more character and
arena choices by successfully playing through the Story Mode. In the Simulator
Mode, players can play against the computer, or battle their friends in
two-player mode and they can select any villain to play against any girl.

The Powerpuff Girls: Chemical
X-Traction for the PlayStation offers 10 exciting arenas to play in including
the Professor’s lab, the Townsville city dump, the jail, the girls’ bedroom,
Mojo Jojo’s lab, the Mayor’s office and more. The Nintendo 64 version of The
Powerpuff Girls: Chemical X-Traction offers seven different arenas including the
Townsville bank, Fuzzy Lumpkins’ shack, Pokey Oaks school and more.

In addition to their archrival, Mojo
Jojo, the games offer five dastardly villains to battle with. Each villain has
its own super power that they will use to try and beat The Powerpuff Girls. The
villains include:

  •  Sedusa-This villain throws
gobs of hair gel at the player with her hair gel sticker.

  •  Ace-This scoundrel throws
    his sunglasses at the girls.

  •  Big Billy-This unpleasant
guy causes major shock waves when he does a big belly flop.

  •  Fuzzy Lumpkins-This
character goes wild in the country which causes shock waves.

  •  Princess-This wicked girl
causes shock waves when she throws a great big tantrum.

The Powerpuff Girls: Chemical
X-Traction for the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 were developed by VIS. Both games
