Prepare download content remotely for your PS3 via the webstore

Gamers can now prepare and organize their PlayStation 3's download list without leaving their computers.

An update to the Sony Entertainment Network webstore enables users to queue up content on their PlayStation 3 for download the next time they turn on their consoles.

The feature won't activate the console, however, so downloads won't start until you turn the system on. Then it will automatically begin downloading whatever you've placed in the queue.

PSN Stores notes that you could trigger the PS3 by using Remote Play on the PlayStation Vita or PlayStation Portable. Another solution is PlayStation Plus, which will process the queue during its nightly sync.

Users can sort games into either the PS Vita or PS3 queue, or both, which is useful for cross-buy titles.

Now only if we could take care of those pesky system updates this way.
