505 Games has shared the PC launch trailer for Hideo Kojima’s highly-divisive open-world game Death Stranding. After eight months of PS4 exclusivity, the ambitious title is finally going to be available for PC tomorrow. Watch the launch trailer here!
Hideo Kojima’s genre-bending social open-world action-adventure Death Stranding is almost here. In less than 24 hours, PC gamers will finally be able to see what the fuss is about the game that had journalists and PlayStation 4 so heavily split last year.
Starring Norman Reedus as Sam Bridges, DEATH STRANDING takes place in the near future, where mysterious explosions have rocked the planet, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and the planet on the verge of a mass extinction, it’s up to Sam to journey across the ravaged wasteland to save mankind from impending annihilation. The groundbreaking experience from legendary game creator Hideo Kojima also features the acting and voice talents of Mads Mikkelsen and Léa Seydoux.
Indeed, legendary game auteur Hideo Kojima promised to have created an entirely new game genre. In reality, though, we can distill it to the more commonly known walking-sim and action-adventure genres. The mix of sci-fi coupled with Kojima’s taste for the weird still firmly distinguish Death Stranding from any kind of game.
At least there is no question that the PC version of the game will be the definitive edition with its support for unlocked framerates, ultra-wide monitor support, and more. Early reports by the talented folks over at Digital Foundry paint a brilliant picture with Death Stranding on PC performing very well. Keeping in mind that the game runs on Guerilla Games’ Decima Engine, this is very promising that the upcoming other PS4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn, will run great on the PC, as well.
Death Stranding is launching tomorrow, Tuesday, July 14th for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
