Ever since the awesome and much-anticipated reveal trailer yesterday, we were left wondering exactly how many missions would be included in Battlefield 1. Well, we still don't know today, but DICE did detail five of them for us.
Over on the Battlefield blog, we get a brief summary of each mission that thankfully is spoiler free. Some are focused on aerial dogfighting, while others include desert warfare and still others fighting in the trenches. The Lawrence of Arabia mission does not appear to be shown, so that leaves us with six total missions known so far. That was a rumored number of missions several months ago, but nothing was confirmed or denied either way.
Battlefield 1 has opted for a more personal approach to their campaign, allowing players various ways to work through the missions themselves. Cinematic scenes were added to the campaign to really show what the characters were feeling behind that first person wall of view. Each of the missions can be seen below, and you can play Battlefield 1 on October 21st for PS4 and Xbox One. Those who pre-order can play on the 18th, EA Access players can use it on the 16th and there will be a trial beginning on the 13th.

Through Blood and Mud
In the autumn of 1918, British forces prepare for a mass assault on the town of Cambrai, France. With tank support, Allied Command believes a breakthrough is a certainty. Avanti Savoia
Italy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire are deadlocked among the Alps. Braced by snow-capped mountains, neither side can find a way to dislodge their enemy. The Runner
The British Empire intends to open a new front to the war with an unprecedented naval invasion of the Ottoman homeland. As an Anzac runner you’ll witness the heat of epic bombardments and a beach landing, as well as covert deliveries of urgent life-or-death messages across the frontline.
