Prey dev calls the game’s scope and audacity “mind-boggling”

There's quite a bit going on in the upcoming game from Bethesda's Arkane Studios. Prey features a ton of alien abilities, upgrades, and an entity called the 'Nightmare' that chases you down the more you equip yourself with alien mods.

With everything going on the game, it's no surprise that Prey's devs are even shocked with how the project has developed. In the latest issue of GamesTM (via WCCF), Arkane's Lead System Designer Seth Shain emphatically praised what Arkane has built with Prey.

"The scope of it, the audacity of it, the hubris of it. I think we’ve made a game that is bigger than the team that we have and I think we are pulling it off. I’m thrilled with how this game has come out.

"The sheer audacity of what we have dared to build in this game, it’s a little bit mind-boggling to me. The fact that we were able to stuff it all into this package called Prey is kind of amazing; it’s a testament to the team and the passion of the developers we have here. Everybody shared in this vision and really wanted to see this thing through the end."

Prey is set to release on Friday, May 5th, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
