Bethesda and Arkane's "re-imagining" of Prey finally hit store shelves yesterday, but if for some reason you have not already picked it up, Xbox One owners can apparently grab the game at a slightly cheaper rate than PS4 owners on Walmart.com. As of this writing, the Xbox One version is $49.88 on Walmart.com, and you can either get free two-day shipping or pick up in-store. Sadly the PS4 version doesn't seem to be getting the same discount, and there doesn't appear to be a reason why.
Here's the proof:
It's not entirely clear if this is just a list price error or a tactic by Walmart to move more copies than their competitors. Though, I'd probably lean towards the latter. But just in case it is an error, I wouldn't wait to jump on this if you're looking to play Prey right away.
If you are a PS4 or PC owner looking for better price, Amazon Prime members can get the game at $47.99 for the first two weeks that the game is on the market. Prey is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
