Project Cars 2 won’t hold back for PS4 Pro if Xbox’s Project Scorpio offers more

Xbox Head Phil Spencer has already given us one bold Project Scorpio statement this week, but the dev team behind Project Cars is backing up that statement with a bold statement of their own. Spencer made it clear that the Scorpio would be home to the best version of games this year.

In an interview with Gaming Bolt, Slightly Mad Studios' creative director Andy Tudor stated that the Project Cars 2 team will be looking to take full advantage of the upgraded Xbox's power – even if that means the PS4 Pro version won't look as good.

“We may go higher resolution on Scorpio compared to Pro, or we may keep lower res but increase detail. Again, too early to say, and if we can do something extra on Scorpio easily we will do, we won’t hold it back due to Pro.”

Tudor makes it clear that the team hasn' t fully decided on whether they will handicap the Scorpio version, but he does state that if the Scorpio offers more they will take advantage of it.

Previously, the studio opted out of commenting on the details of development for the Scorpio, instead, they loosely stated that both the Pro and Scorpio will get "some sort of improvements."
