Project CARS Halloween trailer shows off spooky night racing

Ya know, I didn't think it was possible to make a spooky trailer for a racing game. But that's exactly what developer Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco Games have done with Project CARS' newest trailer.

Night racing in the rain, a thumping beat, a roaring engine, and you've got everything you need for a Halloween-themed trailer.

"The new trailer throws racers into a thrilling white-knuckled night race to celebrate the Halloween season," the trailer's description reads. "The Halloween trailer exemplifies Slightly Mad Studios’ approach that everything they put into Project CARS not only has to look stunning but must add additional gameplay."

Spooks aside, what this trailer really does well is highlight the added challenge that night racing and severe weather conditions bring. What's more, all of this footage is said to be capture from gameplay.

Project CARS was recently delayed and is now on track to release on March 17, 2015 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A Wii U version is planned for release "later in 2015."
