In September of 2014, back before the three delays, the resolution for Project CARS was mostly revealed. The developers at Slightly Mad released what resolutions they were currently hitting on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but were still optimizing.
It was revealed that the "Xbox One it's not quite 1080p," back in September — again before the delays. After so many delays you would expect the game to be fully optimized on both consoles.
This is not the case.
Project CARS will officially run at 900p on the Xbox One and 1080p on the PlayStation 4. There is one saving grace, both versions will run at 60fps and up to 12K resolution on the PC (framerate depends entirely on your rig). If you're wondering why this game isn't coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 it is because Slight Mad doesn't want to compromise their next-gen vision with htose platforms.
Project CARS will be released in mid-May 2015 on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
