Project Scorpio’s Success Relies on First-Party Game Available at Launch

Microsoft's Project Scorpio, their new upcoming console is set to release holiday 2017. Details are still a bit scarce, but we do know that all Xbox One games will play on the console. It's also known that all controllers and accessories will also be compatible. But now, Phil Spencer of Xbox defines their focus on first-party games for Scorpio.

"Having our [first-party] games ready for Scorpio is critical," He said on Twitter.

Yet again, details on Project Scorpio are slim, so what he meant by "ready" is unclear, but the words used seem to imply updated Xbox One games that are "Scorpio-ready".

Spencer also noted how he's "Very focused" on first-party games, and how, "I'll be careful about when we announce things but I know strong 1P is critical."

The pre-order page for Project Scorpio is live, but for now is just a placeholder with a sign up for additional information.
