Project Sparks’ beta ended; Now officially released on Xbox One and PC

Originally revealed at E3 2013, Project Spark has finally ended its beta and has officially launched.

Project Sparks beta on the PC launched in December just after it was revealed at E3, the Xbox One beta didn't run for as long as the PC's. It began in March of this year, leaving PC players with roughly 10 – 11 months of beta testing and the Xbox One with 7 months.

The catch here is that not just an PC gamer can get their hands on Spark, it's only accessible to Windows 8 users. Both versions of the game are free to download, so you can get to creating your own game right now if you have a Windows 8 or Xbox One.

If you're still wondering what the game is about, here's a brief description:

Project Spark unlocks imagination with a powerful yet simple way to build and play your own worlds, stories, and games and share them with the world. It’s the ultimate digital sandbox where you can create the kinds of games you’ve always dreamed of, play games created by a global community, and shape the future of how games are made.

Now that you know what the game is, Project Spark might be free – but that means that if you want extra assets to work with, you've got to shell out some cash and buy DLC packs. The DLC ranges anywhere from $4.99 to $99.99, making some of the affordable and others brow raising.
