Just a friendly reminder, tomorrow PlayStation Plus members will be treated to two free games: Mercenary Kings for PS4 and Batman: Arkham City for PS3. As per usual, if you are a paying PS Plus subscriber, these two games will be free to download following tomorrow's PlayStation Store update (check out all of April's free offerings here).
For those unfamiliar, Mercenary Kings is a 2D action game in which you — a member of the Mercenary Kings (a skilled team of warriors-for-hire) — are dopped on to Mandragora Island where you must rescue the brilliant Dr. James Neil from the forces of C.L.A.W. (Cyber Loyalist Active Weapons) and prevent them from using the Mandrake Formula for global domination. In addition to the side-scrolling action, Mercenary Kings boasts an impressive weapon crafting system using the items you scavange during missions.
Most of you should recognize Batman: Arkham City, Rocksteady's critically acclaimed open-world sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum. You probably know the drill by now with this game — a bunch of thugs and super villains are out to cause mayhem and only one man can save them. You, Batman. Batman: Arkham City being free comes at a perfect time as Warner Bros. just announced Batman: Arkham Knight, the third entry in Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham trilogy.
Other free PS Plus games planned for April include Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Stealth Inc. A Clone in the Dark for PS3, and Velocity Ultra and Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD for PS Vita.
Meanwhile, it's expected that Microsoft will announce today April's Games with Gold. So far, it's rumored that Hitman: Absolution will be one of the two free games for April, though Microsoft hasn't confirmed anything yet.
