PS Plus reminder: Mutant Mudds Deluxe free for PS Vita tomorrow

For the second week in a row, PS Vita owners are getting another free game via PlayStation Plus. Following tomorrow's PlayStation Store update, Mutant Mudds Deluxe will be free tomorrow for Vita owners who also hold a PS Plus membership.

For those unfamiliar, Mutant Mudds Deluxe is a spin on the traditional 2D platformer. Created for fans of the 8-bit and 16-bit gaming eras, Mutant Mudds Deluxe is described as a "12-bit action platformer full of pixels and platforming fun." In the game, Max can leap into the third dimension by using his jetpack to jettison between the background and foreground.

Last week, PS Plus members were treated to Terraria for free on the Vita. And remember, starting in July Sony is making changes to the way PlayStation Plus games are delivered to members. Rather than release individual games each week, all of the month's games will be released on the first Tuesday of the month and will be available for download until the first Tuesday of the following month. As a result, the following Instant Game Collection titles from June will no longer be available to download for free on Tuesday, July 1:

  • Terraria PS Vita
  • Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time
  • Pixeljunk Shooters Ultimate
  • Trine 2: Complete Story
  • NBA 2K14
  • Mutant Mudds Deluxe

Don't worry though, Sony will replace them with a fresh batch of free games. It's believed that July's free PS4 games will be TowerFall Ascension and Strider.
