PS Vita game releases for May 2014

The PlayStation 4 isn't the only Sony platform looking forward to a jam-packed May. Paving the way for Sony's handheld is, of course, the eagerly awaited Borderlands 2, but there are a number of re-releases as well, including God of War Collection, Soul Sacrifice Delta, and The Sly Collection. Here's a brief rundown of the PlayStation Vita games due out in May 2014:

God of War Collection – May 6, 2014

God of War Collection brings the nonstop action of God of War and God of War II to the PS Vita with full PSN Trophy Support and fully remastered high-definition graphics.

Borderlands 2 – May 13, 2014

Gearbox Studios' shooter-looter action game, Borderlands 2, is finally coming to the Vita thanks to fan demand. In addition to all of the content found in the original console versions, the PS Vita version also tacks on the 6 add-on packs that were released: Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty, Psycho Character Class, Mechromancer Character Class Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1, and Collector's Edition Pack. Borderlands 2 also offers cross save support with your PS3, meaning you can take your save file from the PS3 and bring it with you on-the-go with the Vita and vice versa. The only downside is that the Vita version will only offer two-player online co-op as opposed to the four-player co-op offered on consoles.

Soul Sacrifice Delta – May 13, 2014

Considered the "definitive version," Soul Sacrifice Delta is a rerelease of Soul Sacrifice with new content and improved graphics and weather systems. This version contains new Archfiends based on classic fairy tales, new sorcercers, and a completely new faction, Grim. EIf you've already played Soul Sacrifice, but want to make the jump to the new content, you can carry over your save file from the original game.

Mind Zero – May 27, 2014

Mind Zero is a dungeon-crawler RPG from Aksys Games and Acquire, the studios responsible for Gladiator Begins. Kei, a high school student who discovers he has a mysterious power, Mind, which controls a powerful persona that can unleash deadly attacks. With monsters roaming the town, it's up to Kei and his friends to stop them. Hot on their tracks, however, is the government who believes "Mind" is a dangerous drug.

The Sly Collection – May 27, 2014

The Sly Collection features three PlayStation 2 action-packed classic hits: Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racconus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. Each game has been fully remasteredhigh definition, and optimized for the PlayStation Vita.

With E3 taking place next month, it's quite likely that even more PlayStation Vita games will be revealed. Make sure you keep it tuned to GameZone.
