PS Vita system software update 3.10 released; here’s what’s new

Late last night, Sony release system software update version 3.10 for the PlayStation Vita. Among the features and tweaks, it brings the ability to display more than 100 applications on the home screen, as well as a new Calendar application. Additionally, you'll now be able to exchange voice messages with your friends on PS4 and Vita by using the Messages application. Below are all of the neat new features update 3.10 brings with it:

Home Screen

You can now display more than 100 applications.

Messages

You can now send and receive voice messages using the Messages application on PS Vita. Exchange voice messages with your friends and players on PS4 and PS Vita.

Manage Content on Memory Card

A new "Manage Content on Memory Card" option has been added to the Content Manager application. You can now view the data on your memory card and view memory usage by content type. You can also delete content and applications.

Calendar App

A Calendar application has been added, allowing you to set up gaming events with your friends. You can sync your Google calendar to have all of your events with you on the Vita and share your favorite events using the Messages and Email applications.

Parental Controls

The parental control features have been enhanced, allowing you to restrict PS Store access with a children's age guide. An information guide for TrendMicro web security has also been added.

Music

You'll now be able to search for content saved on a connected device such as a PC.

Video

You'll now be able to sort content by size.

Photo

"Rotate Screen Automatically" has been added to Photos to control tilt sensor for rotation of images. Freeform has also been added to the Panoramic mode selection list.

Settings

"Adjust Daylight Saving Automatically" has been added. 30 minutes has been added in "Enter Standby Mode Automatically."
