Ubisoft today confirmed Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag in the form of box art reveal. Four platforms — PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U — were mentioned, but only the PlayStation 3 box art indicated exclusive content.
According to the box art of the PS3 version, PlayStation owners will get "60 minutes of exclusive gameplay." This was for the European version of the box art, but it can be assumed the same deal will be offered for the North American PS3 version. Strangely enough, there was no mention of a PS4 version; although, I expect this will change as Watch Dogs, another Ubisoft title, will launch on PS3 and PS4.
Although Assassin's Creed 4 was technically revealed today, the bulk of details will be divulged on Monday. Be sure to check back at 9:00 am PT to learn about the game's protagonist, goals, and guiding principles.
On a side note, it's great to see Sony making an extra effort to secure exclusive content deals. At the PlayStation 4 event it was announced that Bungie's Destiny will also offer exclusive content for the "PlayStation community."
