PS3’s Malicious to Contain Remnants of Mega Man

If I were to tell you that there was an upcoming game featuring a character wearing blue with the ability to absorb boss skills and upgrade their character’s “demon bullets,” what’s the first game you would think of? If you said Mega Man, then you’re not alone.

Famitsu.com recently took a look at Malicious today, Avalon’s first announced download-only PS3 action title that was revealed back in June. In the game, players will be fighting against a dangerous group of creatures known as the Malicious. As a biological weapon of sorts, you can make use of a special cloak that allows the main character to take on various forms. These include fist for close attacks and a shield, that keeps your character safe from incoming attacks.

The game also places the player immediately into a big fight against a boss and his subordinates so there aren’t any stage progression. Players can choose the levels freely and just like a certain blue bomber, ordering will more than likely be important. Malicious is set for a PSN release sometime this year.
