The PlayStation 4's firmware update 1.51 will be made available for download ahead of the console's UK launch this Friday, November 29th.
According to PlayStation Europe community manager Chris Owen, the latest PS4 update will go live on Thursday, around lunchtime.

Owen recommends using the firmware from your own region, so even if you've downloaded the update from the U.S. site, you'll likely have to re-download the new one that will be made available Thursday.
Firmware 1.51 checks in at just over 300MB and includes all of the functionality that was added through the 1.50 launch-day patch (Remote Play and Gameplay sharing). The latest update simply contains some minor changes including improved stability of system software and "minor refinements" to elements of the system UI.
On Thursday, head over to the European PlayStation site to find the update.
