PS4 gets temporary price cut

Sony offers discount on PS4 in UK to compete with Xbox One price cut

If you've been on the fence about getting a PlayStation 4, this weekend may now be the time to jump into "next-gen" gaming. Or current-gen, rather.

Regardless of how you want to refer to it, Sony has temporarily cut the PlayStation 4's UK price to just £299.99. This price won't last long, though, as the promotion ends on Tuesday, April 28th.

Retailers participating in the promotion include GAME, Amazon, Tesco, Argos, and Very. Some are even taking the sale further, knocking it down to £299.99. Amazon UK has the PS4 listed for  £299.99 in either black or white, while GAME is also selling it for  £289.99 and throwing in a free copy of Minecraft.

The temporary price reduction appears to be an answer to Microsoft also lowering the price of its Xbox One to £299 in the region.

Unfortunately, the discounts only apply to the UK.
