PS4 getting beautiful WWI-Era stealth-adventure game, Calvino Noir

Calvino Noir, a 2D side scrolling "dark platformer" has been announced for PS4.  Already in development for iOS and PC, the developers released a post on Playstation Blog this morning discussing the game's inspirations, process and characters along with the announcement of the game arriving on Playstation's heavy weight platform.

Calvino Noir's experience revolves around three distinct pillars, puzzle-solving gameplay, era-accurate architecture for enhanced immersion and a gritty noir episodic storyline.  The developers have placed an especially heavy emphasis on building design, going so far as to bring on a professional architect to design all of the buildings to reflect World War 1 era Europe.

The gameplay will let the player control three characters, each with unique abilities that can be used to solve puzzles.  Concealment, sneaking and distraction will be focal points of the gameplay as players will be able to use combination of these tactics to match their own individual playstyles to create their own unique experience.

No word yet on an official release date, but the developers have said that it will arrive  "very soon".
