Last year, Sony revealed that a new God of War was in the works. There hasn't been much news since the E3 2016 reveal, but there sure has been a lot of fan questions. According to the game director, it's proceeding well and we'll hear more very soon.
On Twitter, director Cory Barlog said that development is going well. He said it was a "daily emotional meat grinder" but that he's feeling very good about what they're doing.
The new God of War has yet to receive a final release date. Barlog did note that he could give one, but he doesn't quite want to yet, indicating that the game might be pretty far into development with an end in sight.
He also commented on the game's story and narrative elements, stating that he wants to have a better narrative than before. It's something he's quite confident about.
@GamerUPMundial That is my goal, but all of you will really be the judge. This team is just damn incredible, though, so my confidence is high.

The game already looks quite different with the reveal we saw last year. Kratos looks much older and is seen acting as a mentor to his son. It seems like a more modern series overall.
Release dates have yet to be confirmed, but it God of War will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. More God of War news from E3 2017 will be covered right here on GameZone.
