Rockstar released the stunning Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer this morning after a week of teases and reveals, and while the trailer doesn't offer much in terms of plot, characters, or gameplay mechanics, Sony has revealed an interesting piece of new information.
The trailer we saw was captured entirely on PS4 and select pieces of online content will be exclusive to PlayStation (whether that's time exclusive or exclusive forever is unclear). What that content is remains to be seen as Rockstar isn't talking about the online mode yet.
PS4 players will also be able to play Red Dead Redemption on PS4 with their subscription service, PS Now. The service allows players to play select PS3 games on their PS4 (and other Sony platforms, including Sony Smart TV's). There is no release date for the original RDR quite yet but we can expect it fairly soon.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to release in fall 2017 for Xbox One and PS4 with no PC release confirmed at this time.
