PS4’s DC Universe Online to support Vita remote play

Just today, Sony confirmed the PS4's 300MB day one patch will enable Remote Play with the PlayStation Vita. With this, users will be able to access PS4 titles displayed over the living room television and play them on the Vita system over Wi-Fi networks. Although not all games will support this functionality, DC Universe Online will be one of the games that does.

Speaking to Jens Andersen, Sr. Creative Director for DCUO, he confirmed to me — as party of a lengthier interview that will be posted early next week — that DC Universe will support the system's Remote Play feature.

"We do," he said, confirming the game's ability to be played remotely through the PlayStation Vita handheld. "That's one of the most exciting things about DCUO coming to PS4. We will be supporting Vita remote play."

When asked if this feature will be implemented at launch, he told me, "Should be."

This is just a morsel of details Andersen shared with me during our phone interview. Be sure to check back next week for the complete interview with the senior creative director to see why we are excited for DC Universe Online to come to PS4.
