PS4’s The Last of Us could be discounted for PS3 game owners

PlayStation 3 gamers who already own The Last of Us could get a discount on the PS4 version, The Last of Us: Remastered. It's not a definite thing, but Sony is apparently looking into it.

When asked on the PlayStation blog if there was “any chance that people who own TLoU on PS3 will get a discount on TLoU Remastered?”, Naughty Dog's community strategist Eric Monacelli replied:

“We’re looking into the business model for all this and will post about this once we have input from all regions.”

Revealed earlier this month, The Last of Us: Remastered includes the full game in 1080p along with higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, upgraded textures and access to all of the game's DLC — including the recently revealed Grounded Bundle. The PS4 version of Naughty Dog's blockbuster hit is due out sometime this summer.
