The Playstation 4 has hit another benchmark, according to Sony, which announced today its console has surpassed yet another sales milestone. With its most recent numbers, as of this past Sunday, November 22nd, the PS4 has sold a whopping 30 million units.
Andrew House, the head CEO at Sony, said in a statement that
“We are sincerely grateful that gamers across the globe have continued to choose PS4 as the best place to play since launch two years ago. We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to users worldwide. Thanks to the support of our partners, PS4 continues to be the premier platform for game and interactive entertainment innovation.”
Sony has its issues financially in other areas, but the PlayStation is one of the strongest divisions. With just about $370 million total sales from the original PlayStation to the PS4, the Sony PlayStation continues to be the number one selling piece of technology of alll time. All time. That's pretty damn impressive. After all, we have these things called cars that we drive everyday and cell phones that we pretty much all have; but, the PlayStation beats them all.
Congratulations to Sony.
