Sony has rolled out PS4 system software update version 2.01, which is now available for download in the settings menu of your console.
Though the change-log only details an improvement in "stability during use of some features," the official PlayStation Twitter accounts specifically mention that the new update "will address issues some users have when powering on the system from Rest Mode."
The PS4 "Masamune" update 2.0 was released last week, adding unique, "forward-looking" features like Share Play, YouTube integration, USB music, sorting options for your PS4 game library, and themes to change the look of your home screen. However, it also came with its fair share of problems, the most notable being an issue when putting the system in Rest Mode (formerly known as Standby Mode).
We never encountered the problem in the office, so I can't really confirm if the update works. So let us know in the comments below if all is fixed.
