PlayStation owners can look forward to their hard earned Trophies syncing "much more quickly" than before! With that being said, while they are faster, they are not immediate.
Which means that you will still need to go into the Trophies sub-section of the main menu to get the syncing process started. PlayStation did not detail if the faster Trophy syncing will also be available on PS3.

Hopefully, this update will usher in an update that will allow Trophies to synchronize immediately like the Xbox One and Xbox 360 allow.
