Sony today pushed live firmware update 1.76. It's a minor update, so don't get too excited.
According to some official notes shared by PlayStation Europe community manager Chris Owen, today's firmware 1.76 update improves "System software stability during use of some features."
I enjoy a good stability update as much as the next guy, but there's no doubt most PS4 owners have their sights set on update 2.0, which was fully detailed at gamescom 2014 back in August. Looking ahead, update 2.0's big feature is Share Play, a feature that allows you to create an online local co-op experiencing using your PS4 by allowing you to invite a friend to join your game, even if they don't own a copy of it. The update will also add highly requested broadcast and video share features, including the ability to upload your gameplay footage to YouTube. You can find the full notes for update 2.0, arriving this fall, here.
