Sony has acknowledged problems with SharePlay on PlayStation 4, and has promised fans they are investigating the issues.
Though we were able to initiate a SharePlay session with no problem, Sony confirmed today that "some" PS4 owners are unable to access the new feature, which allows any PS Plus member to invite a friend, anywhere, to take turns playing any games with them, or invite another PS Plus member to play together in the same session cooperatively or competitively.
Because we were unable to replicate the problem, I'm not entirely sure what the message being shown actually is, but feel free to share any problems you are having with the feature.
For Sony, this is just the latest in a string of issues that have plagued the PS4 since update 2.00. It's unclear if this problem is related to the update — probably not since we've had no problems since — but it's annoying nonetheless.
