In case you're not already enjoying the wonder of Journey Collector's Edition, you should probably go and do that now. Seriously. Just finish reading this, go out and buy the disc-based compilation for your PlayStation 3, and enjoy the magic of thatgamecompany's creativity.
Journey Collector's Edition is priced at $29.99, and it includes Flow, Flower, and Journey (obviously), three previous PlayStation Network exclusives. Because thatgamecompany is so nice, though, the studio also threw in some bonus mini-games, developer commentary, 30-minute documentary, game soundtracks, and much, much more. So yeah, $29.99 is totally worth it.
In addition to the aforementioned great news, you should also know that The Art of Journey is scheduled for launch next month. What exactly is The Art of Journey? Well, it's a beautiful hardcover art book featuring never-before-seen concept art, sketches, and all manner of lovely visual candy based entirely around thatgamecompany's recent effort.
There's more, though! Thatgamecompany has teamed up with Daqri to include a special augmented reality feature. Folks who download a free companion app to their smartphone or tablet will be able to see the world of Journey in a new light. By pointing their devices at certain images, they'll be able to see stunning 3D animated models.
Of course, that's not all. If you buy The Art of Journey, you'll be treated to a download voucher to snag the game's riveting soundtrack on your PlayStation 3. Watch out for this wonderful art book in September, but for now, check out this close look at The Art of Journey.
