Earlier today, Steam released a nice little indie gem titled The Adventures of Shuggy. The game, which launched on Xbox Live Arcade a while back, received favorable reviews for its charming art style and rewarding puzzle platforming gameplay. So if you don't have an Xbox 360 and you're looking for a fun retro-inspired titled, I'd say give Shuggy a go!
A lack of promotion was the main factor in this indie title never taking off on Xbox Live Arcade. It's a shame, too, because developer Smudged Cat Games really put together a worthwhile experience. This wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened. As a fan of indie games, I urge you fine folks to check Shuggy out.
Let's make this a memorable comeback story. Hell, let's make it an underdog story about a game that had it rough on the Xbox 360 and succeeded on Steam, much like the incredible Cthulhu Saves the World.
Shuggy is priced at $9.99 on Steam, but as is customary for launch week, you can download the game for $7.99. Check it out, and expect a review right here on GameZone courtesy of yours truly.
