It's no secret that gamers are becoming increasingly annoyed with how publishers are revealing downloadable content for a game. While I enjoy getting additional time with games that I love, the feeling of being nickeled-and-dimed out of content that feels like it should've been included from the start is leading to increased frustration.
It's not that I don't enjoy DLC, it's that I don't want to spend $60 for a brand new game just to be pressured into spending another $30 to feel like I have the complete experience — especially before the add-on content is revealed.
Sony might have found a nice sweet spot, hosting an "Extended Play Sale" over on the PlayStation Store. From now through May 25th, you can find deals on "extra content for the games you love." This includes season passes for games liek Far Cry 4 and Alien: Isolation, as well as deluxe editions (Game + Season Pass) of Battlefield Hardline and Evolve.
