Remember all that PlayStation Network downtime that took place in December? Well, Sony is finally getting around to giving out the "thanks for putting up with us" gift to loyal PlayStation fans. Starting this weekend, everyone and anyone with a PlayStation Network account is getting a 10 percent PlayStation Store discount.
If there has been a game on the PlayStation Store that you have been eyeing, Sony if giving the chance to grab that game — so long as it is eligible.
The 10% discount promotion code can only be used once, and is only valid between January 23rd and January 26th. You will not be able to use the code on subscriptions for PS Plus, Music Unlimited, PS Now or rental video content. You will be able to use the promotional code on new releases, indie games, game add-ons/DLC, Season Passes. pre-orders (Witcher 3 anyone?) and TV/Movies (to own).
You will be able to find the code on the PlayStation Store "and via @PlayStation."
As another way to make amends for PSN going down over the holidays, Sony is also rolling out the 5-day PS Plus membership extension. You will not be required to do anything to receive the extension.
