As expected, Sony has begun its "routine maintenance" on the PlayStation Network services.
The planned maintenance is schedule to last through 11:30am Pacific Time (2:30pm Eastern Time), though Sony notes that there may be some additional downtime after the maintenance period for "testing purposes." Today's maintenance will see the deployment of "a series of back-end improvements to the network."
As always, if you've signed into PSN beforehand you should be able to access some network/online features on PS4, PS3, and Vita. The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management will not be available regardless of your platform.
