PSN senior director leaves SCEA after 17 years

Susan Panico, long-time head of the North American PlayStation Network, has left SCEA.  Panico has worked for Sony Computer Entertainment for more than 17 years, starting in 1994 as a PR assistance.  She worked as senior director for the PlayStation Network for nearly five years in which she oversaw the network grow beyond games into a collection of movies, TV shows, and original content, servicing more than 77 million registered users.

Senior director of Corporate Communications and Social Media at SCEA, Patrick Seybold, confirmed the departure today, issuing a statement to Venturebeat.

“We can confirm Susan has left SCEA. We thank her for her considerable contribution to our business and wish her every success in the future."

SCEA has yet to name a replacement for Panico.
