PSN still down for some as Sony asks for feedback

Sony, still struggling to fully restore PlayStation Network services, is now asking customers for feedback should they be unable to connect.

"Hey all. We realize that some are still reporting issues connecting to PSN. We are currently working on gathering some information from those affected," a Sony rep says on the forums.

It's still unclear exactly what is causing the outage for some, but another DDoS attack can probably be ruled out given that this isn't a widespread problem. So if you are still experiencing problems connecting to PSN, Sony wants to know your location, ISP provider, the console affected, and any errors you have received.

Ask PlayStation, the primary source for updates regarding the PSN problems, has been relatively quiet of late, only directing users still having issues over to the forums. As for PS4 users, they recently said they've made updates to the network "that should allow you to sign in without changing MTU settings."

That was 14 hours ago though. On the official PlayStation Support Page, PSN is still labeled as having "intermittent connectivity" — a vague description for what I would consider a serious problem at this point. Since the Christmas DDoS attacks by Lizard Squad, Sony has failed to fully restore service to PlayStation consumers, and it's beginning to really piss off a lot of people.

To help appease those affected, Sony has extended the PlayStation Store Flash and Holiday sales. If you ask me though, I'd give all PS Plus subscribers at least a free week of service to make up for the lost time. What do I know though, I'm sure the big-wigs at the top of Sony tower know exactly what they're doing. Right?
