After dropping the price to $129.99 for the PlayStation Portable, Sony revealed that the PSP Go will also be seeing a reduction. Retailers will now sell the handheld for $149.99, which is a decent amount lower than its initial price tag yet still a tad higher than the PSP’s enticing $129.99 asking price. This is clearly a strategy intended to sell some more PSP Go systems before the launch of the NGP, and you know what? Who cares! If you’ve been meaning to get a PSP or PSP Go, now would be the time to do so as both handhelds are considerably affordable—though it’s debatable which offers the better deal.
In addition to the price slash, gamers can purchase software for the system at readjusted prices. New games will sell for $29.99, Greatest Hits releases will cost $19.99, and Favorites will be priced at $9.99. As we near the release of the NGP, more deals might crop up.
