PSVR officially sold out until release

Yesterday, Sony restocked GameStop's supplies of PlayStation VR headsets and bundles. Unfortunately, they didn't give GameStop a ton of headsets to sell, only a limited supply. Sony specified that once the limited amount of PSVR headsets were sold out, that would be it for pre-orders.

Well, it appears that's it – no more PSVR headsets can be pre-purchased. According to Gamespot, a Gamestop representative claimed their entire allocation of PSVR units sold out "within minutes."

That means that until the PSVR releases on October 13, 2016, we won't be seeing either of the purchase options available:

  • PlayStation VR Launch Bundle ($499.99 MSRP)
  • PlayStation VR core ($399.99 MSRP)

Now you're going to have to wait until the headset releases in order to purchase it.
