PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is getting a new desert map. That's actually been known for some time, but publisher Bluehole hasn't explained further than that. However, thanks to the efforts of a super fan of the game, the PC 1.0 test servers were datamined and what came out of it was more fruitful than a desert.
Reddit user bizzfarts (10/10, quality username) found and uploaded an image showing the new map from an aerial view. As seen below, it's likely that the location names are merely placeholders, but the layout seems accurate.
Beyond this, Reddit user Art_7s found images of a new jet ski, minibus, and pickup truck to add to the arsenal of vehicles. Check out the username links for their original Reddit/Imgur links.
Test servers were slated to go live earlier in November, but it was unfortunately delayed. A blog post by the team stated that it was "Not stable enough." They continued by saying, "Right before opening the test servers, we concluded that the test build was not stable enough and decided to postpone the test." Currently, the servers are now live, though in a testing market. "Testing will end Wednesday evening PST, Thursday morning CET," developer PUBG Corp explained.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is out on PC, with an Xbox One version coming to Game Preview soon.
