PUBG: Workaround for more stable FPS on Xbox One (OG, S, X)

PlayerUknown's Battlegrounds released for the Xbox One via Early Access this week and the highly anticipated game has been met with plenty of hype, texture issues, and framerate issues. Luckily, there's a way to ease the suffering across all Xbox One consoles (Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X) while the developers work on getting the game more optimized – it is a preview game after all and not a full release.

PUBG players are reporting (via Reddit) that there is a night and day difference in gameplay after turning off DVR/Game Capture. People have reported 'drastic' improvements on Xbox One X after turning this feature off and general improvements on Xbox One and Xbox One S.

Here's how to do it:

  • Go to (console) Settings
    • >Preferences
      • >Broadcast and Captures
        • Uncheck 'Allow Broadcast and Captures'

Good luck in PUBG!
