Puzzle & Dragons celebrates 5 million downloads in North America with new update

GungHo Online Entertainment's Puzzle & Dragons is seeing "accelerated growth" in the West, as the company announced today that the free-to-play puzzle/RPG mobile game surpassed five million downloads in North America as of September 16. In May 2014, it was announced that the game had just surpassed four million downloads. Celebrating the feat, a new update has been released featuring a "substantial" amount of new content.

New monsters and new ultimate evolutions have been added giving players the opportunity to collect all new units, while evolving the classic ones that they've had for a while. The update also offers new Skills, Awoken Skills, content for select Descended Dungeons, monster parameters, adjusted Orb colors, and expanded Monster Box sizes.

In addition to the update, GungHo also announced the latest Puzzle & Dragons collaboration with Shinrabansho chocolate, a popular brand of Japanese confection with promotional trading cards and unique characters. A brand-new dungeon with four difficulty levels has been added giving players the chance to collect these new monsters.
